We are proud to recognize Spartan FC alum Maya Lambert, on her verbal commitment to play collegiate soccer at Purdue University. As if committing to play Big Ten soccer wasn’t impressive enough, Maya is only 15 years-old, and a sophomore at Glenbrook North High School, where she was a starter for the school’s varsity soccer team, and an All-Conference selection during her freshman year. She will forgo her sophomore season at GBN to focus on playing with her club team.

Maya began her competitive soccer career on a Spartan FC U9 Girls Premier team, and continued with the club through U12. In a recent interview with the Northbrook Tower, she noted that Spartan FC coaches Yianny Caparos and John Soltani were “a “huge influence” on her progression in soccer.

“They just taught me the basics of playing, the importance of technical skills and playing multiple positions,” Maya says. “They really developed me as a player and helped me learn to love playing soccer.”
Spartan FC congratulates Maya and wishes her the best during the remainder of her high school career, and as a member of Purdue’s Women’s Soccer team.
